Dear Friend,
“The newest Catholic college campus in America is one of the best I’ve seen.”
So wrote Thomas Carroll, superintendent of schools for the Archdiocese of Boston, upon visiting TAC’s new campus in Northfield, Massachusetts, last fall. “All the students at Thomas Aquinas College want to be here,” he continued. “And, in none of the classes did I witness any student as much as glance at a cell phone. This alone counts as a certified miracle these days.”
Writing for Boston’s archdiocesan newspaper, The Pilot, Mr. Carroll implored Catholic parents to give the College serious consideration:
“Thomas Aquinas College is offering nothing less than the chance to help ensure your child a life of faith, give them a broad ranging education that likely will prepare them better for the varied careers they will have over a lifetime,” he argued. “These are skills and gifts that will prepare them well in life and the workplace.”
Let’s be frank: The sort of environment, the sort of campus life, the sort of students that Mr. Carroll describes are exceedingly rare these days. While much of academia can today be characterized as hotbeds of ideological extremism and student madness, at TAC, he writes, “the seriousness of purpose I witnessed was breathtaking.”

In his article, Mr. Carroll wrote, “If you’re a grandparent worried about whether your grandchildren will remain faithful Catholics, don’t save your money for an inheritance. Instead, help pay for your grandsons and granddaughters to attend Thomas Aquinas College.”
